Spring webinars for GP practices

Summary

Places are getting booked up fast for three new webinars delivered by the GP Excellence programme and trainer Luan Stewart.

A new series of webinars to support practices have been released by the PCB’s GP Excellence programme.

The webinars will run throughout April and May and cover the following topics: new contracts, business continuity and responding well to conflict.

Places are limited for the webinars, which will be run by Luan Stewart. Please note: some sessions are already full, so check the booking links below for details.

Luan is a practice manager with 15 years’ experience in general practice and Primary Care Network (PCN) management. She is a mentor for various NHS providers, a professional associate for the Local Medical Committee (LMC) and a peer appraiser.

Luan is also a trainer for areas of practice management.

New contracts – fully booked

This one and a half hour session gives you the time and understanding to work through the new 24/25 contract changes; new QOF changes and the changes to the PCN DES.

This will include useful templates to aid action planning the changes for your surgeries and to make sure that you are aware of all areas of the new contracts to plan and prepare. 

Business continuity

This one hour session will give you the tools to produce a high quality business continuity plan which will aid with CQC safe domain areas and ensure that you have the tools to hand to assist with safety concerns. The session will include a useful business continuity plan template and further templates for emergency planning.

Responding well to conflict – Supporting your team

This webinar will explore the options of how to best support your staff when they experience conflict, including abuse from patients. This session will also cover the contractual requirements of how you can deal with abusive and violent patients.
