In this episode of the Primary Care Knowledge Boost (PCKB) podcast, doctors Sara and Lisa discuss frailty with Dr Sadaat Ahmed, a trainee geriatrician in Greater Manchester. They discuss the definition of frailty, frailty syndromes, frailty scores and the caveats when using these.
They also talk through an anonymised case to demonstrate how recognising frailty and managing the controllable areas can make a big difference to patients’ lives and slow, or even sometimes reverse frailty.
