GP Excellence webinars

The GP Excellence programme webinars aim to support practices with key topics of interest and learning in general practice. Details of the webinars are published regularly throughout the year on the news section of the PCB website.

Some of the most popular webinars have been recorded as video or audio files, the latest of which are available to access under the drop-down boxes below.

You can also find a full suite of GP Excellence videos covering a range of topics on the PCB YouTube channel. Topics include proxy access, responding well to conflict, preparing for a dynamic lockdown, finance quick wins and estates planning.

Please be aware that all information in the videos is relevant at the time of recording, however for any historic recordings, please check for the latest changes to the GP contract, relevant guidance or legislation.

Bitesize digital training: Getting the most out of MS Teams (2026)

Preparing a dynamic lockdown drill for your practice (2026)

A short, practical video for practice managers that demonstrates how to plan, deliver and review a dynamic lockdown drill for their practice team.

The video explains the purpose of dynamic lockdowns, how to communicate the process clearly to staff and how to run a drill safely and proportionately. It also highlights the importance of staff understanding their individual roles during a lockdown, the link to business continuity and staff wellbeing and how regular drills support a calm, coordinated response in the event of a real incident.

CQC Readiness Programme: Module 2 – The five CQC domains through a cultural lens (2026)

This video is the second in a series of four videos covering CQC readiness for general practice which include an introduction to CQC and culture; the five CQC domains through a cultural lens; preparing for inspection – demonstrating culture; and sharing culture – real experiences with a Q&A.

Estates planning (2025)
