The Primary Care Knowledge Boost Podcast: COVID-19
Just released: COVID-19 Episode 4: Managing death in the community (supported by GP Excellence)
We have released a second episode this week!
Many primary care clinicians have had questions about the changes to death certification in the community, as well as about the new Greater Manchester ‘Enabling Safe Certification of Death in the Community’ service (by BARDOC). Lisa and Sara are joined by GP Dr Tracey Vell who is coordinating the service across Greater Manchester.
Dr Vell explains what the service is, the options for using it and how to refer in
We also discuss the changes to the guidance around certifying death in the community in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, including verification and completion of cremation forms
