This episode of the Primary Care Knowledge Boost (PCKB) podcast is the first in a series of four podcasts focusing on paediatric ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions.
In this episode, doctors Lisa and Sara are joined by paediatric ENT consultant, Dr Simone Schaefer to discuss recurrent AOM – a common issue with many children.
Lisa, Sara and Simone talk through a classic presentation of AOM, covering how to get the diagnosis right, including red flags and differentials. They go on to discuss management and how to decide when a child may need referring to an ENT clinic and what may be done in an ENT clinic, before finishing on some helpful resources for families.
