Book your place for two new webinars in January

Summary

Join the GP Excellence team and trainer, Luan Stewart, to learn about business continuity planning, and delegation and prioritisation.

GP practices can get ahead and book for two new webinars in January 2026.

A session on business continuity planning will be held on Tuesday, 13 January, from 11.30am and 1pm.

Following the attack on the Crumpsall Synagogue in October, the GP Excellence team has updated its business continuity planning and dynamic lockdown training.

This webinar will equip you with the knowledge and tools to create a high-quality business continuity plan that supports compliance within the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) safe domain and strengthens your organisation’s response to safety concerns.

The training also provides detailed guidance on responding to a dynamic lockdown situation, including how to safely lock down your surgery in response to emerging external threats.

You will also receive a business continuity plan template, additional emergency planning resources, and a video which demonstrates how to organise and run lockdown drills with your team, helping you build confidence and preparedness.

This session is suitable for practice managers, operations managers, Primary Care Network (PCN) managers, compliance managers and assistant managers.

On Tuesday, 20 January, from 2pm to 3pm, you can learn more about delegation and prioritisation.

The webinar will support you in developing clear, practical action plans for your key areas of work.

You will explore how to prioritise effectively, delegate tasks appropriately and manage competing demands within your team.

The session will include practical examples, tools and guided reflection to help you apply these approaches in your day-to-day management.

It is suitable for both new and experienced managers who want to strengthen their planning, delegation and workload management skills.

Both webinars will be delivered by the GP Excellence Programme, in partnership with experienced practice manager and trainer, Luan Stewart.

Recordings will be available via the PCB website for those unable to attend.

The GP Excellence webinars page is where you will find all recordings of recent webinars, so you can catch up on any missed training.

Recent additions include:

  • Proxy access
  • Responding Well To Conflict – supporting your team
