December digital workshops for PCNs and practices available to book.
The latest digital workshops from the Digital First Primary Care programme, in partnership with Redmoor Health, are available to book in December.
The December workshops will focus on navigating the 8am rush, optimising telephony and exploring the NHS App.
The workshops aim to support practices and PCNs with their digital transformation journey. Previous topics covered include care navigation, leveraging social media and appointments auditing.
The webinars are suitable for digital leads and any practice or PCN staff keen to get involved in the digital transformation journey.

Navigating the 8am rush
This workshop will focus on how to manage demand and will cover:
- innovative, tried and tested approaches
- Improving patient access by leveraging a multi-disciplinary team
- transforming the patient experience
12.30pm to 1.30pm, Wednesday 4 December
Optimising telephony
This workshop will focus on how to utilise the telephony system to better manage demand, and will cover:
- understanding and implementing telephony system functions
- how to interpret the telephone data
- how to manage demand for services
Oldham’s Digital Facilitator, Matthew Sisson, will introduce the Telephony Optimisation toolkit, covering Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and reporting.

Exploring the NHS App
This workshop will focus on how to get the best from the NHS App and will cover:
- a full run down of the NHS App benefits and functionality
- understand how this can support the patient journey
- understand how the app fits with national and local priorities
- what local data can show us
- develop practical strategies for boosting patient communication
During the session a Digital Facilitator will also introduce the NHS App toolkit.
