The first cohort of Digital Facilitators attended a workshop last week, formally marking the launch of the Digital First Primary Care (DFPC) Academy.
The Academy, part of the Digital First Primary Care programme, is designed to help support colleagues working in general practices across Greater Manchester to be able to lead their own digital first improvement projects providing the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver sustainable quality improvement.
The aim of the programme, delivered in partnership with Health Innovation Manchester, GM Primary Care Provider Board (PCB) and NHS GM Integrated Care, is to increase patient access to primary care services, improve staff ways of working and help reduce the non-patient facing workload.
Held in Sale in Greater Manchester, delegates were given an introduction to the programme and quality improvement methodologies as well as opportunities to network. Programme sessions are being jointly delivered by PCB’s GP Excellence programme and Aqua, via a series of face to face and online workshops.
