Free poverty awareness training

Summary

Learn how to help people in need and how poverty affects the GM system.

Free training is on offer to all primary care colleagues interested in learning how poverty affects health, and how to support those in need. NHS GM is working with Resolve Poverty, an independent not-for-profit organisation in Greater Manchester, to tackle poverty as the primary cause of poor health outcomes and early death among our population.

As part of this commitment, they are providing free poverty awareness training to NHS GM employees and relevant partners – including the primary care workforce – aimed at exploring the relationship between poverty and health, and the steps we can all take to make a difference.

The training is in two parts and participants can choose to register for one or both sessions. Various times and dates are available in September and October.
