Summary
Winners of the General Practice Awards 2023 were announced at a ceremony on Friday, 8 December.
The awards recognise the hard work and innovation across primary care in the UK.
Three winners from primary care in Greater Manchester came away with accolades at the General Practice Awards 2023:
- GP Team of the Year – Urban Village Medical Practice
- General Practitioner of the Year – Dr Mohammed Jiva, GP and CEO of Rochdale and Bury Local Medical Committee, CEO Rochdale Health Alliance, GP Federation, Clinical Director, Middleton Primary Care Network
- Vaccination Service of the Year – Healthy Hyde
A total of 21 awards were presented on the night at a glittering ceremony in London hosted by TV actor and comedian, Miles Jupp.
Categories range from general practitioner of the year to PCN of the year and included several shortlisted nominees from primary care in Greater Manchester.
The General Practice Awards has been running for 15 years and aims to highlight and reward the hard work and innovation that gets carried out in primary care across the UK.
