GP Excellence offers access to training, funding and development to support quality improvement of general practice.
- Facilitating the monthly Greater Manchester Practice Managers’ Forum – featuring specialised content from external facilitator Dr Rachel Morris on topics such as ‘How to stay productive and avoid fatigue in the new ways of working’
- Funding – 50 places for practice managers across Greater Manchester to attain the nationally-recognised accreditation through the Institute of General Practice Management (IGPM), including weekly support drop-in and networking sessions covering each of the 10 domains within the accreditation framework
- Delivering quality improvement training to practices and PCNs to improve all aspects of quality, safety, effectiveness and experience of care
- Supporting – a series of webinars promoting MART (Maintenance and Reliever Therapy) as part of the Greater Manchester sustainability programme
- Coordinating – a series of monthly clinical podcasts in collaboration with Primary Care Knowledge Boost
- Providing individual coaching to practice managers and PCN managers to support career development and organisational change
- Promoting Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) accredited ‘Active Practice Programme in collaboration with the Greater Manchester Health and Wellbeing Programme and Greater Sport
- Offering individuals and teams Myers Briggs personality types indicator training to increase understanding of yourself and each other and improve ways of working
- Developing leadership programmes for clinical directors in collaboration with localities and federations
