Summary
A dedicated section of the PCB website has been launched to support PCNs and general practice on their digital transformation journey.
A new Digital First Primary Care (DFPC) section of the Greater Manchester Primary Care Provider Board (PCB) website is now live.
The purpose of the new website area is to support PCNs and general practice staff with digital transformation.
This new resource area provides a step-by-step reference guide for planning, enabling and evaluating available digital platforms and services for practices throughout their transformation journey.
The pages feature a comprehensive toolkit developed to give primary care leaders and general practice cohesive and practical support in designing and implementing a sound patient gateway to care, information and examples of collaborative working through PCN hubs and how to achieve an optimal website presence.
The aim of the toolkit is to guide users through the digital transformation journey providing downloadable assets and signposts to other resources where required. It covers topics including preparing for change, the patient journey, how to develop digital channels for general practice and the benefits this can deliver. The toolkit is segmented into digestible sections and can also be downloaded in its entirety.
The new area of the PCB website was developed by the Digital First Primary Care (DFPC) programme which was formed as part of a national initiative to improve access to general practice.
The web pages also showcase the work that the DFPC programme and partners are delivering across Greater Manchester.
You can visit the new digital transformation web pages on the PCB website.
