New series of summer webinars for GP practices

Summary

Places are filling up fast for four new webinars delivered by the GP Excellence programme and trainer Luan Stewart.

A new series of webinars to support GP practices have been released by the PCB’s GP Excellence programme.

The webinars will run in July covering the following topics: QOF prevalence, finance – quick wins, estates planning, students and trainees: preparations and planning.

Places are limited for the webinars, which will be run by Luan Stewart. Please note: some sessions are already full, so check the booking links below for details.

Luan is a practice manager with 15 years’ experience in general practice and Primary Care Network (PCN) management. She is a trainer for areas of practice management and a mentor for various NHS providers, a professional associate for the Local Medical Committee (LMC) and a peer appraiser.

QOF prevalence – fully booked 

This one hour session will assist you to improve the QOF prevalence in your surgery to ensure maximising income in each list size area.

The session is suitable for practice managers, QOF leads, data quality managers, assistant managers, nurse managers, PCN managers and operations managers.

Wednesday 10 July, 2024 – 9.30am to 10.30am

Finance – quick wins

This one hour session will assist new managers or those with more experienced who want to make sure they are not missing anything. The session will provide quick hints and tips to ensure you are working through all areas of finance, both making money and saving money.

This session is suitable for practice managers, finance managers, PCN managers and assistant managers.

Friday 12 July, 2024 – 2.30pm to 3.30pm

Estates planning

This one and a half hour session will guide you through ways to improve your estates to maximise capacity. It will include writing the perfect project initiation document (for funding) and quick wins to improve your current space, including the growth of surgeries due to maximising ARRS roles from your PCN.

This session is suitable for practice managers, business manager, assistant manager, PCN managers and operations managers.

Wednesday 17 July, 2024 – 11am to 12.30pm

Students and trainees: preparations and planning

This one hour session will assist you to prepare for medical students and trainees joining your practice. This includes preparing the environment, the perfect induction pack, how to ensure they have a quality experience and learn from you in general practice.

This session is suitable for practice managers, assistant managers, student leads, operations managers and reception managers.
