Summary
Free course is CPD accredited by Dental Provider Board and aims to improve wellbeing for the wider workforce.
Two late afternoon sessions to help dental providers prioritise health and wellbeing for themselves and their workforce are now available to book.
Anyone working in dentistry in Greater Manchester can register for the two sessions in June and July.
Each session is for two hours, covering two modules each, and participants are encouraged to complete both dates:
- Module 1 and 2: Thursday 12 June, 4pm to 6pm
- Module 3 and 4: Thursday 10 July, 4pm to 6pm
The modules form part of the Primary Care Wellbeing Leadership Programme, delivered by Greater Manchester Primary Care Provider Board (PCB), which aims to help managers and wellbeing leaders to improve the health and wellbeing of the primary care workforce.
The course is open to anyone in dentistry who has wellbeing in their remit – this could be as a formal manager, or a wellbeing lead or champion.
Other dates are available to all primary care disciplines, and completion of the modules will result in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation.
The sessions for dentistry will be accredited by Greater Manchester Dental Provider Board (DPB), based on the following programme objectives:
- Support primary care leaders to implement wellbeing practices effectively
- Develop and cascade healthy leadership behaviours within and between teams
- Introduce peer support and coaching approaches for workforce wellbeing
- Develop wellbeing resources based on primary care needs and objectives
- Share learning to embed emerging evidence of effective practice and increase engagement and participation in the programme
And the following learning outcomes:
- Delegates will gain increased knowledge, skills and confidence: using leadership behaviours and practical tools in supporting workforce wellbeing
- Culture change movement: the programme enables primary care to be part of a broader, system-wide movement aimed at cultural change, prioritising workforce wellbeing to improve outcomes at individual, team, organisational, and business levels
- Leadership development: participation empowers primary care leaders to disseminate and implement wellbeing practices effectively across their teams
- Resource creation: the programme helps create a resource pool that can adaptively mobilise wellbeing content, reflecting the real needs and ambitions of primary care
