Summary
GP Excellence programme to help fund successful abstract applicants at this year’s RCGP conference.
Applicants who have been successful in their abstract submissions to this year’s Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) conference can apply for funding to attend the event.
The offer is open to anyone working in general practice in Greater Manchester who has been notified by the RCGP that their poster or oral abstract submission has been accepted.
Each year the RCGP allows more than 300 posters and 48 oral submissions to be presented at a conference covering a range of topics within general practice.
The popular process provides an opportunity for colleagues to share the outcomes of a particular project with fellow practitioners.
The closing date for entries was 3 March and successful applicants will be notified by the RCGP by the end of April.
Ordinarily, individuals must self-fund their attendance at the conference, in Liverpool on 3-4 October.
However, the Greater Manchester Primary Care Provider Board’s GP Excellence programme is offering a bursary scheme to help colleagues attend the event if their abstract submission has been accepted.
If successful, the bursary will cover the full cost of your conference fee (reimbursed on receipt of invoice).
In return, we ask that the successful posters feature the GP Excellence logo to highlight the programme and the excellent work being undertaken across general practice in Greater Manchester.
To apply, contact gm.gpexcellence@nhs.net before 1 September with the following information:
- Your role and where you work
- Number of days attending the conference
