General practice teams can apply for funding if successful in annual poster abstract competition
Funding is available to GPs and GP teams who have been successful in having their work presented at the Royal College of General Practitioners Annual Conference 2025.
Each year the conference invites people to showcase their projects with other practitioners in the form of a poster abstract.
The deadline for submissions is 14 February and the topics include:
- adolescent health
- discover GP
- practice development
- clinical
- education
- equality, diversity and inclusion
- health inequalities
- innovation
- international
- research
- sustainability in general practice
- quality improvement
If your entry is accepted as a poster or oral presentation, the PCB’s GP Excellence Programme will fund the cost of your conference fee.
Tickets start at £109 for a one-day undergraduate student and rise to £699 for a two-day non-RCGP member.
The conference is held in Cardiff, from 9 to 10 October.
To apply for the GP Excellence conference fee bursary, please contact gm.gpexcellence@nhs.net with the following information:
- where you work and your role
- brief details of your poster or oral presentation abstract and confirmation once you know if it has been accepted (confirmations will be announced by the RCGP at the start of April 2025)
- your mobile phone number – we may set up a WhatsApp group with the successful applicants
GP Excellence will reimburse you for the cost of your ticket on receipt of an invoice, and in return we ask that you use the GP Excellence logo on your poster to help raise the profile of the great work happening in Greater Manchester.
