Conflict training for frontline workers

Summary

Training has been designed specifically for non-clinical staff working in general practice.

Limited spaces are available for a popular training session on Wednesday, 19 February.

The Responding Well to Conflict training has been tailored by GPs and practice managers, in collaboration with the GP Excellence Programme, specifically for non-clinical frontline staff.

The interactive session takes place on MS Teams from 10am to 12.30pm and is divided into two parts.

Part one focuses on the daily interactions frontline colleagues face when dealing with patients, exploring why conflict may arise even when everything is being handled appropriately.

The second part provides practical tools to help de-escalate conflicts and minimise the psychological impact they can have.

The PCB has been delivering sessions of the Responding Well to Conflict training over the past year and it has proven popular with attendees.

Some comments include: “Fab explanation on reasons why people behave in certain ways and techniques on how to deal with situations.”

“Great session. I learned more about understanding behaviours and how medical conditions can present as conflict.”
