A new online communication hub for primary care.
Primary care colleagues are invited to register for the new Greater Manchester Primary Care Portal.
Launched recently by NHS Greater Manchester (NHS GM), the portal provides a single, secure place for key updates, templates, resources and guidance for colleagues across primary care in Greater Manchester.
The portal is for anyone working in community pharmacy, dentistry, general practice and optometry.
Individuals can sign up to the portal to receive a fortnightly email bulletin tailored to their interests and information relevant to their role. A user video guide is also available to watch.
The aim of the portal is to transform primary care communication, making it more relevant to an individual’s role and the locality they work in.
Long-term, the portal will reduce duplication and the volume of email communication currently received from different sources.
Teams that regularly share information with primary care providers are encouraged to submit items for the portal by completing a template.
Once completed, the template should be sent to the GM Primary Care Team at gmhscp.primarycarecomms@nhs.net, where a member of the team will review and approve the content, before publishing it and sending a link to confirm publication.
