Help the fight against measles

Summary

How primary care can access campaigns and resources.

With the rise in the number of people catching measles, dedicated resources are available for primary care to use.

A measles campaign toolkit – ‘Measles is about’ – can be downloaded from the NHS Greater Manchester (NHS GM) website, which includes social media assets, newsletter copy and translated messages for use on Whatsapp.

NHS GM has also collated information and guidance specifically for general practice.

Additional resources are being developed, so please check their campaigns page for regular updates.

The GM campaign is running alongside a national campaign to increase the uptake of childhood vaccinations, launched by the UKHSA and NHS. The ‘If we’re not vaccinated, we’re not protected’ campaign will run until mid-April.

There is also an information page, aimed at the public, which sets out the signs and symptoms of measles, details about vaccination and what to do if you think you or your child has measles.
